Despite the result, the Saints doubled up on the Bonnies in the paint, scoring 40 of their 58 points from the paint, as they held the Bonnies to 20 down low. Siena also had 27 bench points, outscoring St. Bonaventure's reserves who put up 14.
Backing up Sims in the scoring column was redshirt senior

After scoring the first two buckets of the game, the Saints saw St. Bonaventure go on an 11-0 run over a five minute span. Despite the slow start, Siena held the Bonnies scoreless over the final 3:20 of the quarter and clawed their way back and took a 12-11 lead after the first 10 minutes.
Both squads played it close through the second quarter, as a layup from Piper gave Siena a two-point advantage. But back-to-back three pointers from Logan led the Bonnies on a 15-4 run leading into the final minute before halftime. St. Bonaventure took a 38-30 lead into the halfway point, as the Saints recovered and cut the lead into single digits.
Siena still trailed by 10 points with 6:43 to play in the third quarter. But over the next three minutes, the Green and Gold would raise an 11-1 run, capped by a layup from freshman
Amari Anthony to tie the game at 47-47 with 3:22 left to play. The Saints would only trail by two points going into the fourth quarter, 52-50.
But things would slip away from the Saints quickly, as St. Bonaventure outscored Siena 22-8 over the final 10 minutes to take the win.
Siena would turn the ball over 14 times in the ballgame, and allowed the Bonnies to shoot 66.7 percent from the field in the fourth quarter and to pull away for the win.
The Saints have some time before their next matchup, and will take back to the court on Dec. 16 when they return home to the ARC to take on UMass. Tip-off for the game is set for 2 p.m.
