Siena Women's Golf junior Sara Riso stands tied for second overall on the individual leaderboard through the First Round of action at the MAAC Championships at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Riso's performance propelled the Saints to fifth through the first 18 holes of the 54-hole event.

UAlbany is the clubhouse leader through the First Round of play, and holds an eight-stroke advantage over nearest challenger Quinnipiac. Dayton stands 15 shots off the pace, while Hartford is 20 back and Siena is 22 strokes off the lead to round out the top-five in the nine-team field.

The Great Danes' Megan Henry leads the field following a +1 round of 73. Riso is tied for second with UAlbany's Annie Lee at two strokes off the pace after carding a +3 score of 75. Riso finished strong in parring each of her final 10 holes, and leads the field with 15 pars overall through the first 18 holes of action.

Freshmen Abigail Chai-Onn and Grace Cuttone accounted for the Saints' three First Round birdies. Chai-Onn sits tied for 13th overall albeit just five strokes off the lead at +6, while Cuttone is tied for 24th at +11.

Siena will tee off Saturday's Second Round as part of the second pairing with Hartford and Niagara at 8:15 a.m.
