April 21, 2018 Siena Women's Golf maintains its fifth place standing through the first 36 out of 54 holes of action at the MAAC Championships at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Both Sara Riso and Abigail Chai-Onn will head into Championship Sunday ranked in the top-10 overall individually.
UAlbany extended its lead to 11 strokes over nearest challenger Quinnipiac in a Second Round which featured little movement on the team leaderboard. The only change in standing saw Monmouth leapfrogging Niagara from seventh place to sixth. Siena improved its Day Two score by two strokes in carding a 321, and will enter Sunday's Final Round just four shots back of fourth place Hartford and seven shots off the pace of third place Dayton.
The Great Danes' Annie Lee is the new clubhouse leader at +2 through 36 holes of play. Riso slipped three spots to fifth overall, but is just eight back of the lead heading into Championship Sunday. Riso continues to lead the field with 26 pars overall, after adding 11 more Saturday to compliment a pair of birdies.
Chai-Onn improved three spots into a tie for 10th overall. The freshman birdied a pair of holes and added six pars to stand 12 shots off the lead.
The Saints will tee off with the second pairing on Championship Sunday at 8:15 a.m., which includes Hartford and Monmouth. ESPN3 will pick up Third Round coverage beginning at 10 a.m.
