Hartford (2-0) held an 18-6 advantage in shots and an 8-1 margin in corners in defeating Siena (1-1) in non-conference action for the fourth consecutive year.
The Hawks out-shot the Saints 11-0 and took all six corners in claiming a 2-0 lead at the half. Alexander opened the scoring in the 25
th minute, and Gamory headed home a corner in the 37
th minute to propel Hartford to the early two-goal cushion.
Alexander provided the final margin with her third goal of the young season in the 58
th minute for the Hawks, which have outscored their first two opponents by a combined 10-0 margin on the road. Hartford defeated Delaware State 7-0 in its season opener Friday.
Six different players registered one shot apiece for Siena which suffered just its seventh non-conference home loss over the past 11 years (34-7-2).
The Saints hit the road for the first time this season with contests at UMass (Friday at 4 p.m.) and Central Connecticut (Sunday at 3 p.m.) this weekend.
