Siena Women's Golf recorded a 15-shot Final Round improvement to finish strong at the rain-soaked Boston College Intercollegiate at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Massachusetts.
Sara Riso paced the Saints tying for fourth overall individually.
Siena carded a 310 to tie for the sixth lowest Third Round score in the 17-team event. The Saints posted a 15-stroke improvement from Monday's Second Round, and were nine shots better than their First Round score, to leapfrog Hartford on the leaderboard and finish 13
th overall.
Western Kentucky won the closely contested event by just three strokes over host Boston College. College of Charleston was just four shots back, and Brown was only five shots off the pace in the final team standings.
Meanwhile Riso concluded her stellar month of September by firing a Final Round score of 75 despite the conditions. She finished just four strokes behind co-individual champions Mary Joiner of Western Kentucky and Jodee Tindall of College of Charleston. Riso led the field with a 4.07 (+2) par-4 scoring average for the Tournament, while parring 36 holes and birdieing six others over the 54-hole event.
The Saints return to action Saturday for the start of the two-day Hartford Hawks Invitational in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
