UAlbany (4-3) held an 18-11 advantage in shots and a 7-5 margin in corners as Siena (3-2-1) suffered just its eighth non-conference home loss spanning the past 11 years.

Ashleigh Sarafin paced the offense with a pair of shots apiece for the Saints which had entered play riding the program's best start to a season in eight years.
Andrea Leitner made three saves for the Great Danes, highlighted by a key stop on a 39
th minute penalty kick to preserve a 1-0 UAlbany lead at that time. Williams had opened the scoring in the 12
th minute for the Great Danes.
Both teams registered seven shots apiece in the second half, but Colbert doubled the UAlbany lead in the 60
th minute before Cernuto put things away with her 77
th minute score.
Siena returns to action Sunday – and faces another America East opponent – when they head north to take on Maine in a 1 p.m. kickoff.
