LOUDONVILLE, NY - Siena Women's Soccer looks to kick off October on a high note when the Saints host Canisius Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Siena Field. Siena is in search of its first conference win, while the Golden Griffins go for their second straight MAAC road triumph.

Siena (2-6-3, 0-1-1) is looking to bounce back after seeing its five-match unbeaten streak snapped with Saturday's 1-0 loss at the hands of Saint Peter's. The Saints are looking to take advantage of a stretch where they play four of five at home at Siena Field, where the program has boasted a 71-24-13 (.718) mark over the past 13 seasons. Reigning MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year Taylor Dorado enters play ranked 13th nationally in saves with 66. 

Head coach Steve Karbowski enters Wednesday's matchup looking to become the first head coach in MAAC Women's Soccer history to reach 100 career regular season league victories. Now in his 21st season at the helm, Karbowski owns a 99-67-22 (.585) record in MAAC action. 

Siena has controlled the all-time series with Canisius (6-3, 1-1) 19-10-1, including a 7-1-1 mark over the past nine meetings. The Saints are unbeaten in the past four matchups between the programs at Siena Field, posting a 3-0-1 mark. Siena posted a 1-0 win in Buffalo in last year's meeting between the programs in the regular season finale. Rachel Sullivan scored her first collegiate goal on a penalty kick in the 27th minute for the Saints, who held decided advantages in both shots (17-9) and corners (5-1). 

Canisius enters play having won five of their last six matches overall. The Golden Griffins lead the MAAC and rank 13th nationally in shot accuracy (.563), while Alana Rossi paces the conference and stands 17th in the country with six shutouts.
