LOUDONVILLE, NYÂ - For the first time since 2012, the Siena Saints and UAlbany Great Danes volleyball programs will square off in the Alumni Recreation Center on Tuesday night. The crosstown showdown will get going with first serve going up at approximately 7:06 p.m.

The Saints and Great Danes last met last season in 2018 with Albany taking a 3-0 win over the Saints. However, the last time both sides met in the ARC in 2012, Siena would take a 3-1 victory over the Great Danes. Taylor Akana led four Saints in double figures with 20 kills as Siena stormed past UAlbany in four sets (20-25, 25-19. 25-17, 25-16). Libero Lesli Akeo led Siena with 28 digs, and the Saints controlled big advantages in all major statistical categories.
The last time the Saints took the court was on Sunday afternoon, as they were upended at Iona by a final of 3-1. Leading the way for the Saints was freshmanÂ

Abby Huffman each put up nine kills as well, with Dunigan hitting a team-best .412. FreshmanÂ
Maria Llinas tossed around 40 assists, while classmateÂ
Gracie Halley led the team with 11 digs.
Llinas currently sits 3rd in the MAAC in assists per set (9.22). She continues to run the offense to the tune of 664 kills. As a team, the Saints rank second in the MAAC with 12.40 kills per set.Â
Siena and UAlbany meet for the 36th time in the program's history, with the Great Danes owning a 6-29 record over the 59 previous meetings.Â
