LOUDONVILLE, NY – Fairfield scored three unanswered second half goals to spoil Siena Women's Soccer's Senior Day 4-1 at Siena Field.
Deanna Lomino scored her first goal of the season for the Saints.
Lomino drew Siena (4-10-4, 2-5-2) even in the 56
th minute, finishing a two-on-one in traffic with
Jayanna Monds. But Stephanie Tsangaris responded just 91 seconds later to put Fairfield (10-4-3, 7-1-1) back in front for good.
The Stags, who entered play ranked 12
th nationally in scoring, added a pair of insurance goals from Gabby Diodati and Julia McGuire.
Fairfield, which has now scored 18 goals over its past five matches, held slim advantages in both shots (17-15) and corner kicks (6-4).
Taylor Dorado made six saves for the Saints.
Gena Pike stopped three shots for the upstart Stags which clinched the No. 2 seed and a First Round bye in the MAAC Championships after being predicted to finish seventh in the preseason poll.
Siena wraps up regular season action Wednesday with a 2:30 p.m. kickoff at Quinnipiac.
