HANOVER, NH – Siena Women's Golf Junior Grace Cuttone concluded a career performance by entering her name in the program record books Sunday to wrap play at the Dartmouth Invitational in Hanover, NH. The Bernardsville, New Jersey native shot -6, 66 in round two at the Hanover Country Club to tie program marks for low 18-hole score and low round under-par.
Beginning the day in a tie for 30th individually, Cuttone's 66 propelled her to finish tied with Quinnipiac's Elena Lopez for seventh place individually at Even, 144, giving her collegiate bests in individual place, 18-hole and 36-hole scores. The junior's performance now stands alongside that of storied alumnae Sara Riso, who also shot 66 at the Dartmouth Invitational exactly one year ago.
Overall, the Saints shot 20 strokes better on Sunday to finish in 10th place among the 13-team field (+52, 628), with Harvard finishing at even, 567 to capture the team title.
Following behind Cuttone to begin tournament play for the Saints in their Fall 2019 slate, each of the remaining four competing members lowered their scores from round one on Saturday. Junior Abigail Chai-Onn finished in a split for 49th place after carding 78, while freshman Kaity Rittner placed 56th by shooting 79.
Rounding out the team's five-women competition squad, Freshman Isabella Diaz tied for 66th while shooting 81 on day two, while senior captain Marisa Fiorina shot 82 to land in a knot for 74th place individually.
Siena will continue its fall schedule next weekend in New England, competing at the Boston College Intercollegiate in Canton, Massachusetts Sept. 23-24.
