LOUDONVILLE, NY - The Siena Saints Women's Volleyball team kicks off their home schedule on Wednesday evening, as they play host to the NJIT Highlanders at the Alumni Recreation Center at 6 p.m. Siena enters the match with a 3-5 overall record, and are coming off of a 1-2 weekend at the Lafayette Invitational. NJIT currently sits at 1-10, currently on a four-match losing streak following an 0-3 weekend at Sacred Heart.

After a eight match start to the season away from home, the Saints return home with a youth movement. The Saints have freshman leading all the major stat categories at the moment, led by
Ally-Reese Williams (kills) and
Maria Llinas (digs, assists). Williams leads the squad with 83 kills, which led her to her first career double-double this past weekend. Llinas has tossed out 278 assists, and is currently tied with fellow freshman
Gracie Halley in digs with 76.
The Siena Saints concluded their weekend at the Lafayette Invitational on Saturday, as the Green and Gold found a split and walking away with only one victory as they topped the Merrimack College Warriors 3-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-17, 25-18) in their opening match of the day. Then in their final match of the day, the Saints would fall to the host Lafayette by a final score of 3-0 (26-28, 21-25, 26-28) to wrap up the weekend action.
Siena and NJIT meet for the second time in program history, as they met for the first time last season. Siena would best the Highlanders in the ARC by a final score of 3-2.
