CANTON, MA – Siena Women's Golf teed off the its third event during the Fall 2019 season Monday, competing at the Boston College Intercollegiate for the second consecutive year. The Saints sit in 12th place through 36 holes, shooting rounds of 327 and 328 at the Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Massachusetts to begin play.
The University of Seattle (+9, 596) lead the 14-team field after 36 of the 54 holes, with MAAC foes UAlbany (third), Quinnipiac (seventh) and Hartford (11th) also taking part.
One week after etching her name into the program record books, junior Grace Cuttone continued to lead the Saints as the top performer, shooting rounds of 76 & 78 to wrap the day in a tie for 25th place. Classmate Abigail Chai-Onn finished not too far behind, working behind three birdies in the second round to card a pair of 78's and end the day in a split for 34th place.
Sophomore Lena Kaufman shot a birdie in the first round en-route to a pair of 85's on the par-72, 6,137-yard course, finishing the day in 67th. Senior captain Marisa Fiorina lowered her second-round score by a stroke, carding 88 & 87 to end in 73rd place, while freshman Isabella Diaz shot 93 & 91 to conclude in 79th individually.
Siena will conclude its first 54-hole tournament of the season on Tuesday, with tee times from hole 10 beginning at 9:03 a.m. and continuing nine minutes apart from each other.
