BLOOMFIELD, CT – Siena Women's Golf junior Abigail Chai-Onn put forth her best golf of the season thus far, opening play at the Hartford Hawks Invitational on Saturday in a tie for ninth individually (+7, 74).
Overall, the Saints carded +33, 313 as a team to place fifth out of 11 competing squads following day one of the 36-hole event at the Wintonberry Hills Golf Course in Bloomfield, CT. Fairleigh Dickenson shot +9, 289 to lead the pack, while host and MAAC foe Hartford (+25, 305) is in fourth place and fellow conference rival Fairfield (+46, 326) sits in 10th.
Junior Grace Cuttone shot +7, 77 to tie for 24th place while sophomore Lena Kaufman went +10, 80 on the par-70 course to land in a split for 27th.
Rounding out the team's five-women competition squad were freshman Kaity Rittner and senior Captain Marisa Fiorina, who carded 82 and 84, respectively, to enter day two in ties for 39th and 48th.
Competing as an individual, freshman Isabella Diaz is in a tie for 39th after shooting +12, 82.
Siena concludes play at the Hartford Hawks Invitational Sunday morning with a shotgun start.
