LOUDONVILLE, NY – The Siena Saints men's tennis team would fall by a final score of 5-2 against the Bucknell Bison on the road Sunday afternoon.
Sagar Bains and
Matt Nardone won their doubles matchup to start the day, but the top two doubles matches would go to Bucknell, as the Bison took a 1-0 lead. Tomas Del Olmo would sweep his singles matchup 7-6, 6-4 at the #2 singles spot, while Bellino would also take a 6-2, 6-1 victory for the second point for Siena.
Two other Siena matchups would go the distance, as both Bains and
Muhammad Sawani went three sets, but would each fall late in multiple point rallies.
The Saints return to action next Friday, Feb. 14 when they return home to take on the La Salle Explorers at Tri-City Fitness in Latham. Opening serve goes off at 6:45 p.m.
