Piper will finish fifth all-time in games played for her career, missing only one game along her four years in the Green and Gold. She scored a career-high 30 points in the Alumni Recreation Center last season in a win over Colgate, and has accumulated over 40 games in her career with at least 10 points scored. Earlier this season, Piper had a near triple-double at Niagara, and helped the Saints to victory over UAlbany in the Crosstown Showdown.

The Siena Saints women's basketball team struggled in the second half as they fell to the Monmouth Hawks by a final score of 49-43 on Thursday night. For the second straight year, the Saints and Hawks split their season series. Sophomore Margo Peterson led the scoring for the second straight game, as she scored 15 points. Both Sabrina Piper and Lala Watts each snagged nine rebounds apiece.

Watts continues to rank first in the MAAC in blocked shots, currently averaging 2.3 blocks per game. She is the only play in the MAAC averaging over two blocks per game, as Saint Peter's Zoe Pero ranks second with 1.6 blocks per game average. Watts' 59 blocks also rank Top 35 in the NCAA in both overall blocked shots and blocked shots per game.

In the series history, Siena and Iona will be squaring off for the 71st time on Saturday afternoon, with the Saints holding a 42-29 advantage all-time. Head Coach Ali Jaques stands eight wins away from passing Joe Hogan on Siena's all-time coaching wins list.

The last time these two teams met was back on Jan. 20. Sophomore Lala Watts created more Siena women's basketball history, as despite the Saints falling by a final score of 58-47 she would move into second place for the most blocks in a single season in program history with 52. She would surpass Serena Moore's previous total of 51 set back in 2010-11, and only stands behind Laura Lord's mark of 74 in a season set back in 1985-86.

The Saints were led by an 16 point, six rebound showing from junior Rayshel Brown. She would go 7-for-14 from the field and snag a steal along the way. Watts was a perfect 4-for-4 from the field for 11 points, six rebounds, and her three blocks. Also in double-figures was Piper, who scored 10 points and came up with a team-high three steals.
