DAYTONA BEACH, FL – Siena Women's Golf concluded the first of four scheduled regular season events in its Spring 2020 campaign Tuesday. The Saints placed 10th at the Lonnie Barton Invitational at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Overall, the team shot +47, 333 in day two to finish at +96, 668. MAAC counterpart Fairfield (+66, 638) placed 6th, while Niagara (+135, 707) took 12th.
Junior Grace Cuttone matched her day one total on the course with +9, 81 to finish +19, 182 on the week in a split for 29th. Sophomore Lena Kaufman followed behind, carding +13, 85 to land in a split for 39th place at +21, 164.
Junior Abigail Chai-Onn improved by two strokes in round two at the par-72, 5917-yard course, shooting +10, 82 in day two to finish at +23, 166 and in 44th.
Freshman Isabella Diaz also improved by two strokes, shooting +15, 87 to finish +33, 176 in a split for 57th. Classmate Ashlee Sample withdrew from the second round and did not score.
Siena will be back in tournament action at the women's edition of the Pinehurst Intercollegiate later this month. The 54-hole event is set for March 29-31 at the historic Pinehurst No. 8 course in North Carolina.
