MILFORD, CT – The final round of action during the Fall 2021 campaign brought a three-stroke improvement for Siena Women's Golf, with the team concluding play at the SHU Fall Invite at Great River Golf course in Milford, Connecticut Monday.
Siena followed up a 334 with a round of 331 to finish ninth in the 11-team field at +89, 665. Boston University (+27, 603) took home the team title, while MAAC schools Quinnipiac (fourth), UAlbany (fifth), Hartford (sixth), and Fairfield (10
th) also participated.
Junior
Isabella Diaz led the way for the Green and Gold with an 81 in the second round and a 159 total to tie for 16
th place individually. Freshman
Jillian Barend and junior
Emily Nash also shot 81's in the final go-around to card 171 and 167, respectively on the week and finish in a tie for 23
rd and 38
th. Freshman
Manoela Barcellos and sophomore
Margot Osterman rounded out the team's competition squad with 180 and 186 each to tie for 54
th and place 62
nd, respectively. Competing as an individual, senior
Lena Kaufman shot 175 in the 36-hole event to tie for 50
th.
The Saints have now completed their five-event fall schedule, and will look forward to action during the Spring 2022 season.
