LOUDONVILLE, NY – The Siena Saints are back in action at the newly named UHY Center in Loudonville this weekend, as they play host to their I-87 rival Marist Red Foxes on Saturday and Sunday. Tip-off for both games will be at 2 PM.
Due to current regulations, fans will not be allowed at the UHY Center for the game. With just six players available to play at Monmouth Wednesday night, the Siena Women's Basketball team fell just short after being down by as many as 15 points in the game by a final score of 61-60. The Saints had the final shot of the game with a chance to win after giving up a layup with two seconds to play. Graduate student
Isis Young scored 28 points, a season-high for her. Young hit six three's en route to her season-high 28 point, which is also a career-high as well. Junior
Margo Peterson finished with a 12 point effort, corralling six rebounds.
Rayshel Brown was the other player in double-figures, finishing with 10 points.
The Red Foxes swept their fellow MAAC defending regular season champion Rider on Sunday, February 7th and Monday, February 8th. On Sunday, the Red Foxes held its opponent under 50 points for the seventh time this season, resulting in a 47-46 comeback win. Willow Duffell paced the team with 15 points. On Monday, Trinasia Kennedy scored 15 of her game-high 20 points in the second half, and Duffell, Allie Best, and Sarah Barcello also scored in double figures as the Red Foxes outscored the Broncs 27-12 in the fourth quarter for a 70-57 victory. Marist swept Rider for the first time since the 2017-18 season.
In the series history, Siena and Marist will be squaring off for the 73

Despite a late third quarter lead, the Siena Saints women's basketball team fell to the Marist Red Foxes by a final score of 81-69 the last time these two teams met on March 7, 2020. Senior
