Siena Women's Golf took the course at Wolfert's Roost Golf Club in Albany for its annual match play event with crosstown and conference rival UAlbany Sunday afternoon. The Saints fell in 18-hole match play, 302-318, to the Great Danes, with each team counting its top four scores.
The Saints featured senior
Grace Cuttone, junior
Lena Kaufman, and sophomores
Isabella Diaz and
Emily Nash in the par-70 event, which pitted the Green and Gold against the Purple and Gold for the sixth straight year.
Nash led the way for the Saints at +6, 76, while Kaufman carded +8, 78. Diaz went +10, 80, while Cuttone shot +14, 84. UAlbany freshman Amber Thornton placed first out of both teams individually, shooting +2, 72.
Following the conclusion of both teams' regular seasons, they will head to Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Florida for the 2021 MAAC Men's & Women's Golf Championships next weekend.
