LOUDONVILLE, NY – The 2021-22 Siena Women's Basketball MAAC schedule has been announced, as they league announced all the dates and pairings Wednesday afternoon. Nineteen of Siena's 20 MAAC games will be played on the fan and family-friendly days of Thursday or Saturday, with six of their 10 home games coming on Saturdays.
 
The 2021-22 MAAC schedule once again features a 20-game league slate with an even split of 10 home and 10 away games, with the Saints set to face each conference foe twice during regular season action. Overall, Siena will not play either at home or on the road more than two games in a row throughout the entirety of the slate barring any cancelations or postponements. The Saints will have one home and one road game apiece in December before having the calendar flip over to the New Year.
 
The Saints open their 32^nd season of conference competition when they play host to the Rider Broncs on Monday, Dec. 20 in the UHY Center. The other December matchup will come on Thursday, Dec. 30 when the Green and Gold travel to Riverdale to take on the Manhattan Jaspers just before the calendar flips over to 2022.
 
The schedule bounces back and forth for the Saints after the first two games, as the Saints do not play a back-to-back game either at home or on the road until January 27^th and 29^th when they travel to Western New York to face Niagara and Canisius. Mixed in the rotation of back-and-forth games will be a matchup with the Marist Red Foxes on the road on Thursday, Jan. 13 at McCann Arena. The return matchup at the UHY Center with the Red Foxes will come just over a month later on Saturday, Feb. 19.
 
Beginning with their western New York trip, the Saints schedule will begin to double up on consecutive games at home or on the road through Thursday, Feb. 24 before finishing the schedule with two away matchups starting on Saturday, Feb. 26 at Quinnipiac with their home season finale sandwiched in between on Thursday, Mar. 3 against Saint Peter's. Siena has topped the Bobcats on their own floor in two of the last three matchups in Hamden.
 
Concluding the schedule on Saturday, Mar. 5 will be a matchup on the road at Monmouth which leads the Saints into the 2022 MAAC Women's Basketball Championships Mar. 8-12 at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
 
Dates and non-conference opponents for the Saints will be announced soon, with game times for the full slate also coming shortly as well.

Siena is looking to build off a 4-9 record a year ago, as the Saints enter Jim Jabir era 2.0. The Green and Gold will be led with veterans Rayshel Brown, Amari Anthony, Lala Watts, and Margo Peterson while also mixing in six newcomers.
