CANTON, MA – Taking the course for the second time this season and the first time in full tournament play, Siena Women's Golf played 36 holes at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Massachusetts for the Boston College Intercollegiate.
The Saints carded rounds of 334 and 329 on the day to land in 15
th in the 15-team field following the opening day of action. Yale (585) leads the field, while MAAC counterparts Quinnipiac (6
th), Monmouth (8
th), UAlbany (9
th), and Fairfield (13
th) are also taking part in the regional tournament.
Competing in her second collegiate action as a Saint, freshman
Manoela Barcellos carded rounds of 80 and 83 to finish in a split for 59
th at 163. Juniors
Emily Nash and
Isabella Diaz followed behind with 166 and 167, respectively through 36 holes on the 6,137-yard, par-72 course to tie for 65
th and 68
th. Sophomore
Margot Osterman shot 87 and 84 to finish at 171 in a knot for 77
th, while freshman
Jillian Barend rounded out the team's five-women competition squad with rounds of 83 and 90 to finish at 173 in 80
th.
Siena will conclude the 54-hole Boston College Intercollegiate on Tuesday, September 21 at 9:00 AM.
