LOUDONVILLE, NY – Ella Dudley scored the decisive goal in the 37
th minute as New Hampshire prevailed over Siena Women's Soccer 1-0 in a defensive-minded battle.
Leslie Adams made four saves for the Saints.
New Hampshire (2-3-1) held decided shot (13-6) and corner kick (11-1) advantages in securing their first-ever win in six tries (1-4-1) over Siena (2-4).
With 8:20 remaining in the opening half, Alivia Kelly blasted a long free kick off the crossbar which Dudley headed out of the air and into the goal for the lone score on the afternoon.
Carrie Krohn registered a team-high three shots for the Saints who have dropped four straight after winning their first two matches of the season.
Cat Sheppard made three saves for UNH which served Siena its first shutout in its past 13 regular season matches.
The Saints will look to bounce back Sunday when they travel to Hartford for a 1 p.m. tilt.
