LATHAM, NY - The Siena Women's Tennis team honored both
Nanea Perkins and
Anastasia Koniaev prior to the start of their match on Sunday afternoon in their annual Senior Day, as the Saints fell to the Bucknell Bison by a final score of 5-2.
It was a slow start for the Saints, as Bucknell would take the #1 and #3 spots in doubles to go up 1-0 in the match.
Emma Boggiali and
Maanya Viswanath took the lone doubles court for Siena at #2 3-0 on a retirement.
In singles, Perkins fought to a 6-4, 2-6, 10-7 win for one Siena point, while
Meagan Brown also took a solid 6-3, 6-4 straight set win at the #1 spot. However, the Saints fell in three sets elsewhere in the lineup as the Bison stepped up late in the match for the win.
The Saints return to action on Friday, Feb. 25 when they open a three-day Pennsylvania swing at Temple.
