Women’s Hoops Faces Purple Eagles in Final Game of Three-Game Homestand

LOUDONVILLE, NY – The Siena Saints wrap up a three-game home stand on Monday evening, as they play host to the Niagara Purple Eagles at the UHY Center at 7 p.m.

Leading for all but 23 seconds of the game heading into the fourth quarter Saturday afternoon, the Siena Women's Basketball team would surrender that lead in a 64-57 loss to the Iona Gaels at the UHY Center on National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

Leading the way for Iona with 23 points and eight rebounds was Preseason All-MAAC selection Juana Camilion, while Olivia Vezaldenos and Shyan Mwai each scored 13. The Green and Gold were defeated by the Niagara Purple Eagles by a final score of 82-69 at the Gallagher Center. The Purple Eagles, who rank second in the NCAA in forced turnovers, caused 32 total Siena turnovers in the game.
