The Siena Women's Tennis team opened up their MAAC season right where they left off in the spring – with a win as the defeated the Niagara Purple Eagles on the road by a final score of 5-2 on Saturday.
 
Siena swept through doubles play, as all three courts were victorious to give the Green and Gold a 1-0 lead. That continued into singles play, as freshman Laia Giralt led the pack with a win at #2 singles by a commanding 6-4, 6-1 win. The Saints would also win on courts three, four, and six to take the victory.
 
The Saints return to action tomorrow, Mar. 6 when they square off with the St. Boanventure Bonnies at starting at approximately 3 p.m. following the conclusion of the men's match with the Bonnies also.
