LOUDONVILLE, NY – Looking to build off an unprecedented 2021 performance which featured the program's first-ever MAAC Championship Game appearance, Siena Softball head coach Casey Bump announced the hiring of Katy Lucey as the program's newest Volunteer Assistant Coach.
"I am looking forward to adding Katy Lucey to the staff," Bump said. "She is going to bring us coaching depth focusing on our outfielders as well as our catchers. She brings great energy and a focus on player development, and I look forward to working with her."
No stranger to the Capital Region, Lucey spent eight years as a travel softball head coach from 2013-21, and served as a varsity assistant coach at nearby Rensselaer High School from 2016-17. She also currently provides hitting and catching lessons at Top Level Athletics in North Greenbush, New York.
A graduate of Empire State College with her Bachelor's in Human Development, Lucey has worked at a New York State Employee for the past 21 years, and currently resides in Wynantskill, NY.
