LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Siena Outdoor Track's
Stephanie Queiroz set a school record for the second time this season in the women's 3,000 steeplechase to highlight action at the Rider Invitational at the Michael P. Brady Track Complex in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
The Danbury, Connecticut native finished second in the event with a time of 11:11.36 to best her previous school record set earlier this month at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational. The mark was good for the third-fastest in the MAAC so far this season.
Siena featured runners compete in the 400, 800, 1,500, 3,000 steeplechase, and 5,000.
Freshman
Mattingly O'Rourke ran a time of 1:01.27 in the 400, while senior
Ryan Famiglietti clocked a time of 53.66 in the men's event. Sophomore
Luke Tkaczyk (1:57.09) and freshman
Izzy McNamee (2:28.95) led the way for the Saints in the 800, with Tkaczyk taking fourth place in his race.
O'Rourke (4:56.75) also led the team's efforts in the 1,500, while junior
Ryan Shanahan (4:00.27) did so in the men's 1,500.
Freshman
Jayson Chichelli (15:06.32) led seven Siena men's runners in the 5,000, while sophomore
Lizzie Brown (18:59.89) competed in the event on the women's side.
Siena's next action will come at the prestigious Penn Relays in Philadelphia April 27-28.
