Box Score Errors continued to be harmful to Siena Volleyball as the Saints hit just .085 for the match in a 3-0 defeat (15-25, 17-25, 15-25) at host Bryant during the opening day of the Bryant Invitational on Friday late afternoon in Smithfield, RI.
Junior right side Olga Sawinski put together another highly efficient performance in leading the Saints with eight kills on a team-high .417 hitting percentage.
But, the Saints (0-4) struggled to find consistency as a whole throughout the match.
Siena committed a combined 27 errors including 14 attack errors, seven service errors and six reception errors.
The Bulldogs (3-2) held a 46-22 advantage in team kills.
Sara Wagner led Siena with a team-best nine kills and a pair of aces.
Rory McNerney had eight digs while
Claire Isaksen and
Meghan Johnsson contributed with eight assists apiece.
Siena will have an opportunity to turn things around quickly with matches against Lafayette at 10 a.m. and Northeastern at 4 p.m. on Saturday on the second and final day of the Bryant Invitational.
