ALBANY, NY – As it usually does, Siena Women's Golf's start to a new season began at nearby Wolferts Roost Golf Course in the Crosstown Challenge against MAAC foe UAlbany. The Great Danes took a 309-321 victory over single-round action on Sunday afternoon.
Taking the course for the first time under new head coach
Evan Drew, the Saints saw sophomore
Mackenzie Whitney tie for medalist honors with a round of +1, 73 – including one-under, 34 on the back nine with a pair of birdies.
Junior
Jillian Barend took sixth with +7, 79 with back-to-back birdies on the 16
th and 17
th holes, while freshman
Emely Kintzel shot +12, 82 in her collegiate debut to finish eighth.

Manoela Barcellos carded +17, 87 for tenth, while senior
Margot Osterman and freshman
Isabella Silva went for +18, 88 to tie for 11
th.
Siena's fall season continues September 30 – October 1 at the Purple Eagle Invitational in Cheektowaga, New York.
