BOSTON, MA – Siena Indoor Track saw yet another school record fall to begin weekend action at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at the BU Track & Tennis Complex in Boston, Massachusetts on Friday.
Junior
Claire Gardner set her own record in the women's 1,000 with a time of 2:49.16, besting her previous time of 2:51.66 run at last year's ECAC Indoor Track Championships in March 2023.
Classmate
Keira Flaherty finished just behind Gardner in the event with a time of 2:52.15 for the second-fastest mark in program history.
Graduate student
Madeleine Hesler logged the fourth-fastest time in program history in the 3,000 with a mark of 9:48.01 and a third-place finish in the unseeded heat.
Junior
Julia Caputo went for the fourth-fastest indoor time and fifth-best overall in the 5,000 with a time of 17:08.71 to place 13
th in the unseeded heat of the race.
Senior
Katharine Hesler ran a time of 10:13.64 in the unseeded 3,000, while senior
Gabby DeAngelis went for a mark of 2:19.02.
