BOSTON, MA – After taking home three MAAC Championship titles in individual events last weekend, Siena Indoor Track continued indoor track postseason action at the 2024 IC4A/ECAC Championships at the BU Track & Tennis Center in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday.
Siena ran athletes in the mile, 800, 1,000, and 4x800 trials, as well as in the final of the women's 5,000.
Graduate student
Madeleine Hesler and junior
Claire Gardner both qualified for the final round in the women's mile, with Hesler running a time of 4:57.93 and Gardner going for 4:57.04.
Fifth year
Matthew Laframboise just missed out on qualifying for the finals in the men's 1,000, running a time of 2:27.72 to finish tenth, just outside of the qualifying pool. Junior
Luke Tkaczyk finished 25
th in the men's mile with a time of 4:14.84.
Junior
Keira Flaherty took 18
th in the women's 800 prelims with a time of 2:13.52 for the third-fastest time in program history.
Senior
Katharine Hesler rounded out the day by competing in the team's first final event of the weekend, taking 18
th in the 5,000 with a time of 18:40.75.
Siena will wrap the IC4A/ECAC Championships and its indoor track season on Sunday, March 3 at 11:30 AM.
