LEWISBURG, PA – Siena Outdoor Track continued the spring campaign by beginning action at the Bison Outdoor Classic at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania on Saturday.
The Green and Gold featured competitors in the 1,500, steeplechase, 5,000, and 800 in the large-scale regional meet.
Senior
Gabby DeAngelis led the way for the team in the women's unseeded 1,500 with a second-place finish of 4:43.93, while senior
Ben Guerin logged a time of 4:02.34 in the men's unseeded 1,500.
Fifth year
Tommy Anderson led three competitors in the men's 3,000 steeplechase with a time of 9:23.61 for 14
th place, while sophomore
PJ Dauer finished ninth in the men's unseeded 800 with a time of 1:58.83.
Freshman
Faith Skowvron placed tenth in the women's unseeded 5,000 with a time of 18:05.84, while freshman
Collin Brown placed second on the men's side with a time of 15:08.13.
The invitational 1,500 saw junior
Claire Gardner take 28
th place with a time of 4:34.52 on the women's side, while senior
Killian McNamee finished 29
th on the men's side at 3:51.83. Junior
Julia Caputo placed 13
th in the women's unseeded 5,000 with a time of 16:57.66, while senior
Ryan Shanahan led the way in the men's race with a time of 14:58.88.
Siena will conclude weekend action with runners in the mile and 800 on Sunday, April 14.
