Freshman Catherine Rogers scored her first career goal and classmate Cate Burns registered a clean sheet in her collegiate debut to lead Siena Women's Soccer to its first victory of the young season with a 1-0 triumph at Bryant.
 
Rogers capped an active opening collegiate weekend by heading in the decisive score off a service from reigning MAAC Rookie of the Year Megan Stowell in the 53^rd minute. Rogers registered six total shots – four of which were on target – spanning her first two matches at Siena (1-1).
 
Burns was credited with just two saves in goal, but was active throughout, facing 11 total shots while defending seven corners.
 
Selena Negron made five of her six saves in an active first half in goal for Bryant (0-1).
 
The Saints created 14 total shots while winning five corners. Abby Daly and Briana Neary accounted for four shots apiece, and five of the seven Siena opportunities on target.
 
The Saints continue their season-opening four-match road trip when they take on ACC foe Syracuse Thursday at 7 p.m. in Central New York.
