Siena's tenacious defense was highlighted by a total of 11 blocks, which contributed significantly to their victory.

The Crusaders struggled with attack errors, accumulating 23 on the night.

Siena improved to 9-12 overall and it marks the most non-conference wins in a season (five) for the Saints since 2019.

The Crusaders dropped to 6-17 overall. Additionally, Siena improved to 15-2 all-time against Holy Cross.

Siena will face Quinnipiac at the UHY Center on Friday with the first serve at 6 p.m. It is High School Night at Siena.

Gabrielle Wire led the offensive charge with 12 kills on 23 attempts, contributing 12.5 points to the team's effort.

Berra Tok was a defensive force, recording six total blocks to bolster the team's defense.

Ella Treasure posted five blocks and adding one ace.

Alara Doganyuz was efficient in setting up plays, delivering 15 assists, and adding eight digs and a pair of blocks.

Katie Russell led the Crusaders with 35 assists across three sets, contributing four digs and one ace.

Taliah Lee recorded a team-high 12 kills on 30 attempts, achieving a .233 hitting percentage and adding 12 digs.

Siena opened the first set with an assertive presence, quickly establishing a 6-3 lead through effective kills by Wire and Doga Diraz, coupled with aces from Natalia Clifford and Diraz.

Doganyuz's consistent setting facilitated Siena's offensive rhythm, as they extended the lead to 10-5 midway through the set with contributions from Treasure and Mary Claire Deacy, the reigning MAAC Co-Rookie of the Week.

Holy Cross narrowed the gap to 14-14, led by Lee's strong attacks, but Siena responded with a decisive 6-2 run, highlighted by Deacy's precision on the attack and blocks by Tok and Diraz.

The set concluded with Siena securing a 25-21 victory after a kill by Diraz off a set from Doganyuz.

The second set began with Siena establishing momentum through effective blocking and serves.

Tok and Diraz combined for a block to level the score early, and an ace by Clifford helped Siena go ahead.

Elizabeth Phillips and Wire contributed with key kills to maintain the lead.

Siena continued to build on their advantage with a series of scoring plays, highlighted by a kill from Diraz and multiple contributions from Deacy.

An ace by Treasure further widened the gap. Siena's defense, including a block by Tok and Diraz, allowed them to extend their lead late in the set.

Siena closed the set with a dominant stretch, capped by a kill from Deacy and a final point from an opponent's attack error.

The set concluded with Siena leading 25-14.

In the third set, Siena began with a concerted effort to overturn Holy Cross's early 3-1 lead, thanks in part to Diraz's kill and a block by Tok that leveled the score at 3-3.

Treasure and Doganyuz combined to block an attack that contributed to a 10-7 advantage for Siena.

Holy Cross responded with a series of plays, including three consecutive kills by Sorensen, to reclaim a narrow 12-10 lead. However, Siena quickly countered with Wire's kills, and an ace from Doganyuz tied the game at 15-15.

Siena's resilience paid off in the closing phase as they capitalized on a series of Crusaders errors.

Deacy's kill secured the final point, ending the set with a 25-22 victory for Siena.
