LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. — Siena (10-13, 5-4 MAAC) defeated Merrimack (5-13, 3-6 MAAC) in four sets on Saturday at UHY Center, winning 25-22, 25-18, 19-25, 25-21. Siena's efficient attack was highlighted by a .417 hitting percentage in the first set.
Doga Diraz led Siena with 16 kills and finished with 16.5 points, joining Elena Giacomini of Quinnipiac as the only two players in the conference to have accrued 300 kills this season.
Gabrielle Wire added 14 kills,
Alara Doganyuz delivered 27 assists and recorded three aces, playing a key role in ball distribution.
Mary Claire Deacy tallied 11 kills on 25 attempts, maintaining a .400 hitting percentage.
