Seawolves Swim Past Saints

Stony Brook Sweeps Swimming and Diving

Francesca Baber won all four events in which she competed to lead Stony Brook to a 223-76 sweep of Siena Swimming and Diving out on Long Island.
 
Baber captured the 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, and anchored the 400 free relay winning squad for Stony Brook (1-3) which won all 16 events. Alanna Depinto added a pair of individual and relay wins apiece for the Seawolves.
 
Freshman Clara Samko continued the strong start to her freshman season with a trio of second-place finishes for Siena (3-7, 2-3). She clocked in at :25.92 in the 50 fly, 1:56.09 in the 200 free, and anchored the Saints runner-up squad in the 400 free relay.
 
Claire Donlon (three-meter diving – 269.18) and Gabrielle Rentosa (50 back - :27.63) both added second-place finishes, while Rentosa was also the Saints top finisher in the 100 back (:59.82).
 
Siena returns to the pool when they look to defend their ECAC crown at the Winter Championships Dec. 5-7 in East Meadow, New York.
