Old Blue Sevens – Second Place Finish
The team kicked off its campaign with a strong showing at the Old Blue Sevens tournament, charging all the way to the final. A hard-fought battle against powerhouse St. Bonaventure saw Siena fall just short, but the second-place finish against top-tier competition confirmed our squad's serious potential early in the season.
Monumental Sevens – Final Four in Boston
Momentum continued at the Monumental Sevens in Boston, where Siena advanced to the Final Four. Facing elite collegiate programs, the team showed heart and tactical discipline, reinforcing our presence as a consistent contender on the national sevens circuit.
Fairfield Sevens – Depth on Display
With injuries after two hard weekends of rugby, Our B side brought intensity and resilience to the Fairfield Sevens, with little experience and fresh faces, Siena battling through tough matches and demonstrating the club's growing depth.
National Collegiate Rugby Championship – Boyd, Maryland
The season's accomplishments earned Siena a coveted invitation to the National Collegiate Rugby Championship Sevens, held April 26–27 in Boyd, Maryland—a testament to the team's progress and growing national reputation.
Siena rose to the occasion with an inspiring performance on the national stage:
-
Wins over Aquinas and Kutztown who were a top seed highlighted our attacking flair and defensive organization.
-
Though we fell to strong sides Queens University of Charlotte and Brown University, the team remained focused and hungry.
-
In the placement match, Siena capped off the tournament—and the season—with a commanding 21–10 victory over Dartmouth, securing 7th place nationally.
Looking Ahead
