Siena Women's Golf opened its Fall 2025 season with the return of the Crosstown Challenge against UAlbany Friday afternoon. Following the return of the annual outing for the first time in two years, the Great Danes came away with the upperhand, topping the Saints 300-325 (16-over to 41-over) from Pinehaven Country Club in Guilderland, NY.
Julia Kret and
Mackenzie Whitney tied for eighth, shooting a team-low +9, 80 each. The duo each had one birdie in their round, while Kret finished tied for the second-lowest par-five score on the day - averaging a 4.67.
Emely Kintzel started her season with a round of +11, while freshman
Emily Rensch came in at +12 to round out Siena's scores. Not counted towards the team score were
Isabella Silva at +16 and
Chelsea Woods at +19.
Siena returns to the course from Sept. 29-30 at the Sacred Heart Invitational from Great River Golf Club in Milford, CT.
