Siena leads the all-time series against Sacred Heart 3-2 and has won three straight including both match ups in 2025 with a five-set win in Loudonville last November and a four-set victory in Fairfield, Ct in October.

Pioneers head coach Rob Machan had led a turnaround season thus far, already surpassing all of last season's win total (went 11-19 and missed the postseason in 2025).

In 2026, Sacred Heart has vaulted up the standings, producing the second most points per set in the Metro (16.22), fourth best hitting percentage (.191), most assists (11.83 per set), second most kills (12.67 per set), the most aces (1.96 per set) and third most digs (15.13 per set).

Senior right side Lauren Hubert ranks third in the Metro in kills per set (3.67) with 275 kills (second most) on a .228 hitting percentage and has added 201 digs with 41 blocks.

Sophomore outside hitter Abbie Hagedorn leads the Metro by a large margin in service aces with 49. The Omaha, Neb. native has 15 more aces than the next highest server.

Hagedorn also has 222 kills (3.31 per set, good for fifth most in the conference).

Sophomore setter Addy Franz ranks second in the Metro in assists per set (8.69) with 652 assists.

Siena ranks third in points per set (16.18), third with a .211 hitting percentage and fourth in assists per set (11.41).

On an individual basis, sophomore Mary Claire Deacy is third in kills (272) and just outside of the Top 10 in hitting percentage (.287). She is the reigning Metro Player of the Week, having being honored in each of the last two weeks.

Redshirt senior libero Brooke Malek is the Metro leader in digs with 377 and 5.16 per set (ranks sixth in the category among NCAA Division I players).

She is a four-time Metro Libero of the Week and the only player in program history to accomplish this feat within the same season.

Junior Abby Edwards now ranks fourth in the conference in assists per set (7.59) and second in the category in conference matches only (10.31).

Fairfield enters Friday's play unscathed in conference play, having won all seven of its conference matches with two of them taken to the maximum five sets against Sacred Heart and Saint Peter's.

The Stags rank best in points per set (16.90), hitting percentage (.263), second in assists per set (11.76), third in kills per set (12.64), first in blocks per set (2.60), fifth in service aces per set (1.66) and fifth in digs per set (14.14).

Senior right side Mamie Krubally ranks second in the Metro in hitting percentage (.373) and seventh in kills per set (2.90) with 203 kills.

Junior middle blocker Harlan Wyche leads the Metro in blocks per set (1.47) and has totaled 103 total blocks this season.

Sophomore right side Emma Bortolotti ranks ninth in the Metro in points per set (3.20) with 180 kills, 54 blocks and 11 aces.

Fairfield leads the all-time series against Siena 56-18, however the Stags have won 25 straight in the series dating back to 2014. Fairfield won in four sets last October in Loudonville.
