Mary Claire Deacy built upon their sensational 2026 seasons with another round of Metro weekly awards in a vote by the conference's Sports Information Directors on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-2 Chicago, IL native racked up her fourth consecutive Metro Player of the Week honors while the Edmonton, Alberta native earned her conference-leading fifth Libero of the Week honor.
The two Saints have earned the most weekly awards of any player in the conference through the season's first nine weeks with three remaining weeks to go before the postseason.
Deacy became the first Saint since Siena Hall of Famer Burgandy McCurty in 2008 to earn at least four consecutive conference Player of the Week awards. McCurty earned six straight that season and seven awards in all.
Deacy led the Metro for a fourth straight week with 46 kills (3.83 kills per set) on a .286 hitting percentage and added another 23 digs (1.97 digs per set) with three blocks and one assist in wins against Le Moyne, Niagara and Canisius.
The sophomore currently ranks first in the Metro in kills per set (3.91) and in kills (371) and also is hitting .293 for the season (just outside of the Top 10 in the Metro).
Malek totaled 50 digs (4.16 digs per set) with 16 assists and four aces.
The product of Harry Ainley High School ranks eighth in NCAA Division I women's volleyball in digs per set (4.96) and is ranked first in the Metro with 471 digs.
This marks the ninth and 10th conference weekly awards for Siena—the most since the 2015 season when the Saints earned 12 weekly awards.
Siena (14-11, 8-3 Metro) returns to the courts on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Marist (12-12, 7-4 Metro).
