Siena finished with 40 kills and a .246 hitting percentage, compared with 56 kills and a .358 mark for Marist, and dropped the sets 19-25, 25-27, 20-25.

Sophomore right side Mary Claire Deacy led Siena with 14 kills and added four digs.

Redshirt senior libero Brooke Malek recorded a team-high 18 digs and three assists.

The Edmonton, Alberta native kept her double-digit digs streak alive by making it 26 matches in a row this season with at least 10 digs.

Junior setter Abby Edwards finished with 27 assists, three service aces and seven digs.

Redshirt sophomore outside hitter Brianna Miller added five kills, 13 digs and one service ace.

Set-by-Set
Siena dropped the first set 25-19 after Marist built separation early and held off Siena's later push to 19-16. Earlier, Miller opened the match with a kill from Edwards, but Marist answered with five straight points to put Siena behind 5-1. Siena steadied behind a Maggie Seymour kill, an Edwards kill from Autumn Willmott and an Edwards-Seymour block, then Edwards added a service ace to bring the score to 10-7. Miller and Deacy helped Siena continue siding out in the middle of the set, and a Deacy kill, an Alison Goldberg kill and a Marist attack error accounted for three straight Siena points that made it 19-16. Marist responded with the next two points, reached set point at 24-18 and closed the set after Siena got one point back on an attack error.

Siena pushed the second set to extra points, using back-to-back Edwards service aces to move in front 24-23 before Marist rallied for a 27-25 finish. Earlier, the Saints traded points through a tight opening stretch, with Goldberg, Deacy, Doga Diraz and Gabrielle Wire all supplying kills as Siena moved ahead 8-6 on a Deacy finish. Marist later went up 14-13, but Siena answered with Goldberg block assist on a Marist attack error and a Wire kill, and Deacy put the Saints back ahead 16-15. Miller and Seymour added late kills to keep Siena level at 20-20, and Wire's kill brought the Saints within 23-22 before Edwards' two aces flipped the score. Deacy gave Siena another set-point chance at 25-24, but Marist scored the final three points to take the set.

Siena held a 19-15 lead late in the third set before Marist scored nine straight points to move ahead 24-19. Earlier, Siena recovered from a 5-2 deficit as Diraz put down two kills, the second tying the set at 5-5. After Marist led 7-6, Siena won six of the next seven points, with Deacy contributing two kills and Willmott serving two aces during the push to 12-8. Siena later moved ahead 16-13 when Seymour and Diraz combined on a block and Miller followed with an ace, then reached 19-15 after a Goldberg kill and a Marist attack error. Marist answered from there, and after a service error gave Siena its final point, a Marist block ended the set at 25-20.
