Siena Athletics Expands Partnership With Broadview

Broadview Named Exclusive Jersey Patch Sponsor, Preferred Financial Institution

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena University Athletics and Broadview Federal Credit Union are expanding their longstanding relationship through an exciting first-of-its kind partnership. Broadview has been named the exclusive jersey patch sponsor and preferred financial institution of Siena Athletics, with sponsorship funds helping to support more than 350 student athletes, including a portion directly benefiting student athlete academic development.

"Broadview's partnership with Siena University Athletics has grown stronger with each passing year, and as we enter our 10th season as the presenting sponsor of Siena Men's Basketball, we're thrilled to further invest in the future of all athletic programs as the University's inaugural jersey patch sponsor and Preferred Financial Institution," said Broadview CEO Michael Castellana. "We are proud to continue building on this longstanding relationship and look forward to creating new opportunities for Siena students and the broader community we proudly serve."

The five-year agreement – which was facilitated by Siena Athletics multimedia rights partner Van Wagner – also expands and extends the Broadview presenting sponsorship of Siena Men's Basketball which enters its tenth season.

"We are extremely grateful to Broadview for their longstanding valued partnership with Siena Athletics, and this deepened commitment will have a profound impact on our more than 350 student athletes in myriad ways," said Siena University Vice President and Director of Athletics John D'Argenio. "The sponsorship funds from this expanded partnership will assist in providing opportunities and experiences for all of our soon-to-be 22 Division I athletic programs, including the personal and academic development of our Saints which is central to fulfilling our mission of Building Better Saints."

As part of the agreement, the Broadview logo will appear on uniforms for all applicable Siena Division I athletic programs, providing a visible representation of their ongoing and deepening commitment to the Saints.

"This exclusive patch sponsorship is about much more than a logo on a bunch of uniforms," added Castellana. "It's about supporting excellence, investing in student success, and strengthening an institution that means so much to the Capital Region and New York State. By dedicating a portion of this investment to student athlete academic support, we're helping ensure Siena students have the resources they need to achieve their goals in the classroom, in competition, and long after graduation."

The NCAA Division I cabinet approved legislation allowing commercial sponsor patches on collegiate athletic uniforms, equipment, and apparel, which officially took effect on August 1.

"Putting a partner's brand on a Siena jersey for the first time in our history is a significant moment for Siena Athletics," said Siena Athletics Van Wagner General Manager Lynne Young. "It speaks to the momentum of our programs, the reach of our brand, and the opportunities we can create for businesses that want to connect with our passionate fan base. We're thrilled that Broadview will be the first to join us in this space, and we're excited to make this partnership as meaningful and impactful as the jersey itself."

The Broadview jersey patch will debut on the Siena Men's Basketball uniforms when the Saints host Syracuse in exhibition action on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. at MVP Arena.
