Emily Rensch led Siena Women's Golf in its fall opener with a 75 (+4) as the Saints opened their 2026-27 season with a second-place finish at the Crosstown Challenge Friday afternoon at Pinehaven Country Club.
 
Siena finished with a team score of 324 (+40) in the 18-hole event, trailing crosstown rival UAlbany, which posted a 303 (+19).
 
Rensch paced the Saints with a four-over 75, finishing tied for second individually. The sophomore opened her round with a 39 on the front nine before carding a 36 on the back nine, highlighted by a pair of birdies.
 
Emely Kintzel followed with a six-over 77 to finish tied for third. Kintzel recorded a 38 on the front nine and a 39 on the back, including a birdie on the 17th hole.
 
Freshman Kyla Quimby made her collegiate debut Friday, carding an 84 (+13). Quimby finished her opening nine in 39 before posting a 45 on the back nine.
 
Chelsea Woods rounded out Siena's team score with an 88 (+17), while Isabella Silva finished with a 90 (+19).
 
Friday's competition marked the first tournament for the Saints under first-year head coach Scott Warren. Siena returns four players from last season's squad in Kintzel, Rensch, Silva, and Woods, while Quimby is one of the program's newcomers for the 2026-27 campaign.
 
The Saints will continue the fall portion of their schedule Sept. 21-22 at the Red Bandana Invitational at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Massachusetts. The tournament is slated to feature 36 holes on Monday followed by a final 18-hole round Tuesday.
