Biography
GENERAL:
- Preseason All-MAAC selection for second straight season
- Gifted talent who will be counted on for breakthrough season
- Great leaping ability, and can finish consistently at the 10-foot line
- An explosive middle who can take over the match
2013:
- Started all 28 games in the middle
- Led team with .270 attack percentage and 1.07 blocks per set, third with 2.18 kills per set
- All 11 double-figure kill performances came in MAAC play, including seven of final 10 matches
- Posted 11 kills and no errors in big five-set road win at Fairfield (9/25)
2012:
- MAAC All-Tournament Team selection
- Played and started 31 of 32 matches, tallying 300 kills and a team-high 110 blocks
- Her 2.46 kills per set were fourth on the team and .264 attack percentage was second best
- Posted double digit kills in 14 matches, including each of the last four
- Posted career-high 17 kills in key five-set win at Iona (10/7)
2011:
- COBRA Magazine All-Northeast Honorable Mention selection
- Led team with 91 blocks
- Third on squad with 1.89 kills/set and 178 kills
- Played in 26 of 28 matches and 94 sets
- Posted double figure kills seven times (all against MAAC teams)
- Had 10 kills and 10 blocks in 3-1 home win over Loyola (Md.) (10/23)
BEFORE SIENA:
- Named a Scholar Athlete, Super 70 Select Team selection, All-League and All-Section as a junior and senior at White Plains
- Selected team captain and "Best Attacker" as a senior
PERSONAL/COMMUNITY:
- Daughter of James Jackson and Jacqueline Skeen
- Chose Siena because she loved the atmosphere and small class sizes
- Only played competitive volleyball for three years scholastically, yet qualified for Junior Olympics in 2009 and 2010 and helped team make regional finals in 2011
COACH PIERRE SAYS:
"Jackie's game has seen big improvement and we have high hopes for her again this year. She has the ability to to transform the match, and we'll need her to play her best if we want to win the Championship."
