The home Siena spring sports' season will have to wait a few more days before they get underway, as poor field conditions again forced postponements and cancellations this weekend. The only event now scheduled to take place on Siena's campus this weekend is a baseball doubleheader with Rider on Sunday at noon.
Friday's softball doubleheader with Iona has been postponed-no make up date has yet been set. The baseball series with Rider, originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday has been pushed back a day. The two teams are now scheduled to square off in a Sunday doubleheader at noon and a single game on Monday at 3 p.m.
The women's lacrosse team's MAAC games this weekend against Canisius and Niagara originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, respectively, have been moved from Siena to Marist College due to poor field conditions.
No games will be played on Saturday, April 12. The Saints will face Niagara on Sunday, April 13 at 4:00 p.m. Siena will then match-up against Canisius on Monday, April 14 at noon. Both games will be played on the campus of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
