Academic Integrity Report: Items 9 & 10?
Members Present: Michelle Blot, Cheryl Buff, Fr. Kenneth Paulli, Len Putnick, Jim Serbalik
Members Absent: Lisa Nevarez
The self-study items relating to Academic Standards of Academic Integrity were discussed:
Item 1: Corrective Actions. There are no corrective actions required based on the current certification.
Item 2: Plans for improvement developed by the institution based on the previous self study.
Ken Paulli reported on his research into this topic. There were two areas for improvement, tracking of the academic progress of student athletes and a better definition of the role and responsibility of the faculty athletics representative. The improved tracking is in place with the installation of the Banner information system and there is a complete job description for the faculty athletics representative. Ken is still trying to nail down the dates of the implementation.
Item 4: not applicable.
Item 5: Admissions procedures. Lisa Nevarez is still working on this item.
Item 6: Admissions profiles. Len Putnick spoke with Ned Jones regarding this item. Ned should have the data to the committee before the end of the month of June.
