All Siena athletic contests, including Saturday's football game at Stony Brook, have been cancelled through Sunday. Many members of the Siena community have been directly or indirectly effected by Tuesday's tragic events, leading to the decision to halt athletic competition.

Athletic Director John D'Argenio noted that the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has suspended competition through the weekend as well. "Many schools in our league have a close proximity to yesterday's tragic events," D'Argenio said. "We keep them and everyone involved in our thoughts."
