LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Siena athletic department announced the hiring of Thomas Longval to the position of strength and conditioning coach.
Longval comes to Loudonville having assisted with the strength training of the Boston Celtics, and New York Mets farm teams as well as the student-athletes of Springfield College, UMASS, Providence College, and American International College.
Longval is a 1998 graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Exercise Science. Longval received his Masters of Education from Springfield College in Applied Exercise Science/Strength and Conditioning in May of 2001.
As strength and conditioning coach at Siena, Longval will design, instruct and supervise the strength and conditioning of all men's and women's athletic teams. Longval will work closely with student-athletes year round implementing different strength training techniques, while developing the speed, flexibility, and nutrition of athletes.
