The 2002 Saints Alive! Shootout presented by Albany International, capped off a successful year for Siena Athletics. The event took place on a beautiful June 3 day at Shaker Ridge Country Club. This year's tournament was a near sellout and raised over $24,000 for Siena's student-athletes and sports medicine.
The golf field was comprised of Siena coaches, former players, alumni and friends. Once again the crowd favorite "Shootout" came down to the final putt as former Siena baseball standout Mike Serbalik and his foursome took home the title raising money for the Baseball program in the process. The golf and Shootout were followed was followed by a dinner and great auction.
During its six years, the Shootout has grown to become one of the premier golf events in the Capital District. This year the event was well sponsored with over 50 companies involved in the day. Looking back, it was another great day for Siena Athletics.
