Meegan Mostransky is the head coach and choreographer of the Siena Dance Team, and has led the program to success since 1999. Mostransky has been integral in the evolution of the dance team and has formed a competitive group of dancers who play an important role as a Siena spirit group. The dance team performs at all men’s and women’s home basketball games, attends community events, and hosts youth dance clinics and a summer camp.
Mostransky has years of experience in both dance and cheerleading. As a former Siena cheerleader, Mostransky continued on to dance for the Albany Firebirds Dance Team and coach the Schenectady High School cheer and dance teams. She has coached dance teams from the Pop Warner level through Alls-tar and the semi pro level, including the Albany Conquest Dance Team and the USBL’s Wildcats Dance Team.
Mostransky is a 1998 graduate of Siena College, holding both a BS in Marketing and Management and a BA in History. She has a master’s degree in Education from Union College, and has taught social studies in the Schenectady City School District for over 20 years.
